Everyone deserves something Beautiful
The Concept
Everyone likes to have something beautiful.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, of course, but my take on it is something nature related and colourful.
I have made these Folk Art Resin pictures to play with patterns and colours, then adding beads details to embelish and enhance them. Finishing off with a coating of resin to hold the beads securely in place and bring out the depth of colour. When the sun shines on these Folk Art pieces they really come to life and the colourful shadows look amazing and often quite unexpected.

Here are some examples of my Folk Art Collection
Dragonflies
First I print onto xuan paper with acrylic paint, using Indian printing blocks. When this is dry I paint the background with watercolours or acrylic inks, using a wet on wet technique, so that the colours blend.

Because of the acrylic paint, when it dries, the sheep colour shows through.
Pink Sheep
Then I might add more painting details to the picture, like the decoration on the fox. or gold on the leaves.
Foxy
Then I add beads or other embelishments to the picture to give a unique take on the piece.
Happy Chickens
Every piece is different and I decorate it as the mood takes me, or the beads that I have available.
Strawberry Thief
When I am finally happy with the piece, the xuan paper is stuck to a small canvas and a coating of resin is applied. This magically enhances the colours and fixes the beads securely in place.
