Abstract Resin
For abstract, read doodling through patterns and textures.
Using the same technique as other resin artworks, I have taken it one step further here by creating an entire artwork from repeating patterns and shapes, then using beads and other materials to enhance it.

Gold Entity
The base of this artwork, is again, xuan paper which has been painted in a variety of ways with ink and watercolours. A wet on wet technique is used first and then lines of ink added onto it.

Hidden Treasure
This is a much larger artwork and features the peg loomed fleece from my Jacob sheep. This central panel shows off the beautiful fleece and a mixture of the colours that you get from a Jacob.
It is titled Hidden Treasure because of the reference to sheep fleece being of very low value to the farmer (who has to shear them each year on welfare grounds) but is only paid a very small amount for each fleece by the wool companies. However, the fleece is still useful in many ways and whole communities have been created from it in the past.

Blue Entity
This is the same as Gold Entity, and is a companion piece. When the background is dry, further details are added to the lines using patterns that just came into my mind, hence the titles, they took on a life all of their own.
Once I was happy with the patterns I added gold ink, beads and gold ribbon, then gave them a layer of resin.

Hidden Treasure ~ detail of peg loomed fleece & beads
This image shows the texture of the fleece and how beads and ribbons were sewn and woven through it. To enhance the sea theme, the beads have been graded from dark to light and sewn in a spiral to give the effect of bubbling up from the bottom of the ocean.
The finished artwork brought in the idea of this being treasure under the sea, with a sea effect background and gold highlights, with transparent beads that reflect the light and look like bubbles coming up from the depths.
It was finished off with a coat of resin.
