Cox Tor in Autumn
This is the view from my studio looking out across Dartmoor.

Equinox
This painting was done at Cotehele National Trust property in the Tamar valley. It is from the upper pond area, which looks down on the buildings somewhat and is an unusual angle to view from.
The painting shows the fight between the seasons, and the time of the Spring equinox when daylight hours are the same as the nighttime. The bright red winter dogwood fights with new spring blossoms of magnolia and crocusses. Spring always wins, thank goodness!
Japanese Garden
This beautiful garden can be found near St Maws in Cornwall. I visited it in late Spring and all the acers were spectacular, the azaelas were in flower and the reflections in the pool were just too beautiful to ignore.
The pebbles in the foreground were quite a challenge and took all my patience to complete, but they add a real contrast to the work and a lot of interest I think.

Burrator Reservoir
Burrator reservoir supplies water to Plymouth and was created on the edge of Dartmoor. It sits between Sheeps Tor and Leather Tor. The viewpoint I took to paint it from was the old railway track that used to run to Princetown alongside it.
This is another autumnal painting with the bracken turning russet in the foreground. I added the flock of geese to give a sense of scale to the painting. If you look closely you can see some sheep and people on Sheeps Tor.
Ogbeare Wood
This wood is very special to me, it is a secret place
that can be found at the end of the lane near where I live.
From the middle of April to May the bluebells flower all
through the ancient wood, where the trees are all covered with moss and ivy. This is what I have captured hopefully in this painting.
